30 Malaysians Invading Macquarie Uni!!

>> Sunday, August 8, 2010

It's August, the start of our second semester and the end of our boring holidays. Ya, I loovvee studying xD

For the first day back in uni, my cohort decided to have a photography session wearing our traditional Malaysian clothing. The idea is to send a Raya greeting to our lecturers and friends back in Penang cause we miss them soooo much. This photo shoot and hopefully many more, is also a chance to showcase what make Malaysians, Malaysians.

So here we are, in the middle of the Uni ground, parading our colourful and vibrant costumes.

Setting: Waterloo Park. The grass is literally greener, no?

The guys putting on their sampin, completing the whole set of the beautiful Baju Melayu.

Pics taken with Jenny Barr, our down to earth learning support lecturer.

Our Malaysian models looking ravishing. No photoshopping them anymore, I promise.

Colour coordinated.

Ready for group photo.

Coming to a foreign land definitely made us more proud and appreciative of our culture. We ought to share it with everyone else and hopefully we will learn from them too. After all, there are students from over 100 countries here.

So, that's that!

The photo shoot was a success and the clothing made the guys more macho, and the ladies, more elegant than ever...

Well, except this creature. Told ya it was an invasion.

So sweet... You miss your Penang lecturers. Most students, once overseas...would criticise their Malaysian lecturers like hell. Of course, it's the same everywhere - there are very good ones here too...but some sucks real bad. You're gonna send me a Raya card with the photograph too?
